Korbinian Löbmann received his PhD in pharmaceutical sciences in 2013 from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He joined then the University of Copenhagen in 2013, where he was appointed Assoc. Prof. in 2017 and co-founded the University spin-out Zerion ApS in 2019. His research background lies in solid drug formulation and physico-chemical characterization thereof. In particular, his research has focused on novel amorphous formulation strategies, such as amorphous solid dispersions containing proteins as stabilizers, co-amorphous drug delivery systems, and microwave amorphization (in situ amorphization); as well as novel excipients, such as mesoporous silica, deep eutectic solvents or cellulose nanofibers.
